How to benefit from an unlocked phone

Many people have phone plans, data plans and Test messaging plans. I have researched and found that on EBay there are sellers who sell SIM cards that are already activated. Yes that’s right you can get a Tmobile SIM card with minutes and a text messaging plan. I took the liberty to test this out and give my customers a review.

I purchased one of these “blown out” SIM cards from an EBay seller and he gave me the break down on how the SIM card works. Here are the specifics:

Tmobile SIM Card Specs:

SIM Card has a massive amount of minutes. The SIM I purchased was a 5000 minute card and worked perfectly. I used the phone to call many of my out of town family members and actually as of recent gave it to a friend of mine to use while he was in town looking for a job since he didn’t have a telephone number or cellular phone for employers to contact.
UNLIMITED Text messaging: Even though the phone number is an alias number that no one will know is yours immediately but if you put your signature or name at the end of the SMS message everyone would know it was you. The text worked great!
UNLIMITED BLACKBERRY DATA: The unlimited Blackberry data worked as well but since I didn’t have an email address that was not already in use on a cell phone BIS account I couldn’t test it but the internet worked on a Blackberry 6230 even though it was slower than my 8300 Blackberry that I have a plan with Verizon for.
Negatives:

The SIM card has a phone number that is only good for 30 days. The phone number therefore you cannot keep. Once the 30 days is up the SIM card needs to be replaced, so you will be getting a new phone number every month but your bill will only be the price of the SIM card. I payed $60 dollar for a SIM with 5000 minutes, unlimited text and Blackberry Data. That’s much cheaper than the $150 Verizon bill I pay now. If I didn’t have the Verizon account I would purchase a Blackberry 8300 and use these SIM cards every month and accept the inconvenience of having a new number every month.

In my book this is a great product and if you have the opportunity to try it you should. I have a photo of the product here and if you have any questions please email me and we can discuss or check out this same article in my blog.
